The angles are used to restrict the motion of central section allowing only the motion in vertical direction to occur and provide the stability to the bridge structure. A chain is also used to stop the central section at any desired height depending on the height of ship assuming a real case situation thus saving the power. The mechanism used to lift the central section is due to the constraint of not using any electric motor or gears. In real case situation, the power can be given by electric motors and cables can be used. The four bridge supporting angles that connect the three sections of the bridge will actually go till the bottom surface of the river.

Motivation behind the Mechanical Projects

The motivation behind this Mechanical projects Presentation Topics is the KATTWYK BRIDGE, HAMSBERG, GERMANY. The bridge was built in 1972. The bridge has a unique feature that it based on the “Vertical Lif t Mechanism”, its middle (movable)part lifts to give way to the ship passing by thus maintaining waterways transport. Till now no bridge such has been built in India.

This is a Mechanical engineering Projects under Design and fabrication. The total estimated cost of this Mechanical Engineering project is about rs.1500/-. In modern developing world, automobile plays important role especially two-wheeler i.e (motorcycles& bikes) plays a major role. Even though they are helpful there are some sad events like accidents due to careless of rider. Major accidents occur due to forgetting of lifting side stand. To rectify this problem many advance measure have taken, but they are useless. so as a by considering that it should be implemented practically in all types bikes .the new system “SPROCKET SIDE-STAND RETRIEVE SYSTEM” is designed based on the working principle of bikes. Since all bike transmit power from engine to rear wheel by means of chain drive. Since designed setup is kept in between chain drive, setup rotates and side stand get retrieves automatically.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROJECTS

In existing mechanical Engineering projects many ideas had been found to lift the side-stand automatically.

One small flat rod is kept attached and pivoted between the gear actuator lever and the side stand of the bike. when the gear is actuated the side stand get lifted automatically.

Small stepper motor is connected between the side stand and the engine ,when engine is started the stepper motor gains the source of power and retrieve side stand automatically

These are some methods to retrieve side stand automatically when the vehicle moves but it is not implemented in practical use due to its drawback.

DRAWBACK OF EXISTING METHODS

ECU methods are implemented only in costlier bikes but it does not implemented in normal domestic bikes due to their cost.

When we come across those mechanical engineering projects we could note some drawbacks like wear out of gears, making injuries in legs while actuating gears. Major drawback is it cannot use in all type of two-wheelers. So, in order to solve this we thought and designed “SPROCKET-SIDE STAND RETRIEVE SYSTEM” this system can be attached in all type of two-wheelers (mopeds, geared, non-geared, hand geared bikes).

PROPOSED METHOD

Based on the working principle of two-wheeler ( i.e the power is generated in the engine and it transmits power to the pinion and makes it to rotate. The pinion transmits power to the rear wheel pinion and makes the vehicle to move). This is the basic principle followed in all type of two-wheelers, based on this “sprocket-side stand retrieve system” is designed because this system works by getting power from chain drive. This sprocket system consists of four components, which is assembled as two set up which would be explained briefly in construction and working part of this paper.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

In Sprocket side stand retrieve system, the mechanical engineering projects, retrieves the side stand automatically if the rider forgets to lift the side stand while moving the bike. It works based on the working principle of the two-wheelers .every bikes transmit power from engine’s pinion to the rear wheel i.e. rotary motion of the pinion makes the linear motion of the chain. that linear motion of the chain is absorbed by rear wheel’s sprocket and converted into rotary motion. That rotary motion of the rear wheel makes the bikes to move. Based on this Sprocket side stand retrieve system is designed.

If Sprocket is kept between the chain drive, it make the sprocket to rotate so, using the sprocket as the major component this system works. It gains the power from the chain and make specially designed component (lifting lever) to rotate. This rotation incites engaged pushing lever to push the side stand to retrieve. When chain rotates anti-clockwise direction the inciter assemblies sprocket absorbs the power and rotates in clockwise direction. The working of “Sprocket-Side Stand Retrieve System is explained below in both (resting & riding condition of two-wheeler)

A web based automation of fatigue durability analysis for a welded bogie frame of railway vehicle is realized with several kinds of system integration techniques. The macro program of I-DEAS, the APDL of ANSYS, and an in-house fatigue code are utilized for the parametric geometry modeling and automatic generation of finite element models, the static stress analysis, the fatigue durability analysis, respectively. A multi-agent based engineering framework is implemented on the JADE to integrate the overall process. All engineering programs are integrated by a XML based wrapper. A database to contain engineering data and web based user interfaces are also developed. A parametric study is carried out to take into account the effect of geometrical change of transom support brackets on its fatigue durability. Developed automation techniques reduce remarkably the time and costs required in the fatigue durability analysis.

INTRODUCTION

A bogie frame of railway vehicles plays an important role in sustaining the static load from the dead weight of a car body. Quasi-static loads occur periodically during curving and braking operations, and cyclic dynamic loads are caused by an irregular rail surface and relative movement of the attached equipment. Since the majority of the bogie frame is a welded structure which is very susceptible to the fatigue failure under such loads, a fatigue durability analysis to ensure the sufficient fatigue strength of its weldments is a relevant issue.

In practice, meanwhile, frequent geometric changes are required in early stages of the design process and the sharing of design parameters should be performed between sub tasks and in the overall process for the fatigue durability analysis. In spite of these necessities, these kinds of works can not be performed due to the lack of automation techniques for the required analysis.

In this paper, an automation of fatigue durability analysis for the weld bogie frame of railway vehicles is realized. The weld bogie frame is developed by the Korean Rotem Company, as shown in Fig.1

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The invention provides for a simplified transport motor vehicle using a scooter frame provided with only two wheels, and a separate, accompanying housing for the golf bag and clubs. This results in a lower cost and ease of manufacture, as well as reduction in the vehicle weight and dimension and, during non-use, provides for a movement of its parts into a compact form to enable storage as well as a reduction in size of the frame compartment, to place the motor vehicle into the storage area or trunk of a passenger automobile-type motor vehicle.A feature of the invention generally includes its particular linear frame on which the player can ride and carry the required golf clubs and other necessary materials, and the scooter-type vehicle provides for the proper support of the player.

In order to propel the vehicle, the player grasps the handle-bar and removes a vehicle stabilization device which is activated when stopping the vehicle and brings one foot which is on one side of the scooter on the support base thereof, and the user places himself with the posterior part of his body against the support part or seat while holding the vehicle in a slightly slanting position by means of the other foot on the ground to determine a balancing condition. The player then starts to drive by gripping the handle-bar to accelerate a drive motor and brings the foot which is still on the ground onto the other support base which is on the other side of the scooter frame for determining and providing a balanced disposition and, consequently, the advancement of the scooter-type vehicle. At the end, to stop this movement, the player or user brings, in the following sequence, the placement of his two feet onto the ground and the scooter-type vehicle is placed into a stopped position.

The scooter-type vehicle generally includes a frame made from three basic parts which move into overlapping relationship relative to each other for achieving a reduction in size.

To these ends, the present invention consists in the provision of a motorized golf cart in the form of a scooter-type vehicle having a pair of wheels, one of which is a rear wheel and the other of which is a front wheel, and one of the wheels is a steering wheel for steering the scooter-type vehicle with the wheels aligned along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle in the direction of travel, and includes a frame having three basic parts; one of the parts being a linear scooter having an upper pair of parallel support bases for the feet of the user, a front part bearing on a pin joint provided on the steering column to permit movement of the steering column from a normal conventional use position to a storage position and a lower down portion integral with the wheel hub for a front wheel and an upper part provided with a telescoping steering column with a handle-bar. A posterior part includes a motorized unit for rotating the other or rear wheel. An area proximate to the seat or support part is provided for carrying a kit container and a golf bag container for the clubs, and a support for the player. The support and player support are used to support the rear portion of the scooter vehicle in its folded and stored condition.

It is special purpose machine by using Allen Bradley plc. This is used to manufacture the clip, which is used in starter of four wheelers. The purpose of the clip is to join the copper winding and commutator In inside the starter.

For this machine we designed electrical panel board by using plc, relay board, smps, mcb, transformer, pneumatic cylinder, solenoid coils, pushbutton etc…

This machine consists of four pneumatic cylinders. They are Top cylinder, Bottom cylinder, Hold cylinder, Feeder cylinder. The bottom cylinder has three proximity sensors i) Top cylinder top sensor, ii) Top cylinder middle sensor, iii) Top cylinder bottom sensor. The bottom cylinder has one proximity sensor as well as hold cylinder and feeder cylinder has each separate proximity sensor. Photo guard is attached in this machine, its for safety purpose when the photo guards detects some interrupts it will stop the machine completely.

This machine can be run in two modes they are auto mode and manual mode. In manual mode the operator can control this machine through the operator panel.

Introduction

As we have known about the importance of time management especially in transportation, we are in need of using two-wheelers or four wheelers enormously. But assembling these vehicles the part of the electro-magnetic power is inevitable. Similarly the assembling of wire is also very important. For this purpose in a familiar company like LUCAS-TVS PVT Ltd. They are using “BRAZING CLIP ASSEMBLY (Special Purpose Machine) as in small designs for erecting the commutator with copper wire. The main function is to clip or hold the commutator and copper winding in commercial starter. The use of brazing clip assembly machine is to save Rs1crore per annum and this machine produce 32products per minute.

But let it be our basic project to know, how this assembly is made. The design of this project is our project is our basic view. So we have decided to design this project with PLC along with K.P ENGINEERS.

OPERATION

This machine can be operated by two manners, they are

i) Auto mode

ii) Manual mode

AUTOMODE

In this mode all pneumatic cylinders are controlled and operated by automatic process. When we switched ON automode , the machine will check top cylinder top sensor switch, bottom cylinder sensor, hold cylinder sensor, feeder cylinder sensor and also photo guard are energized. If every sensors are energized, the machine will go to cycle ready. The cycle ready is indication, to show the machine is in ready condition to start. When we get cycle ready signal, We can start machine production by cycle start switch. After switched on cycle start, the top cylinder will move in forward condition, so that time, the top cylinder middle sensor will sensed, and this sensor energize the hold cylinder. The hold cylinder start to move forward, the sensor connected with hold cylinder will energize, it starts the feeder cylinder to move forward, after feeder cylinder sensor energized. The bottom cylinder will move towards forward direction, when it reaches the bottom cylinder sensor and it will start bottom reverse timer, after finishing of timer, the bottom cylinder will come back to its rest position. i.e It will move into reverse direction and come back to its original position, similarly when reverse direction of bottom cylinder started, it will start top cylinder reverse timer, after finishing of delay, forward cylinder also act into reverse direction and it back to its rest position. This process will continue in automode upto when automode is stopped or some interrupts occur in machine.

MANUAL MODE

In this mode the machine is totally controlled by operator through operator panel. After putting the machine in manual mode, we can push top cylinder push button, so the forward cylinder will move towards forward direction, when the forward cylinder moves forward direction it will start timer, this timer is used as inter locking, after finished of time delay only, the reverse operation of top cylinder will work. Like as , we can push bottom cylinder push button, so the bottom cylinder will move towards forward direction, when the bottom cylinder moves forward direction it will start timer, this timer is used as inter locking, after finished of time delay only, the reverse operation of bottom cylinder will work. When we press hold cylinder push button it moves forward and also reverse direction, feeder also as a same operation when we press feeder cylinder push button it moves forward and also reverse… the above all operation operated through plc program.

The connection diagram of this panel board is explained as per the block diagram. Now we are going to explain about that block diagram connection in detailed view. The main power is connected to power terminal block, the output of the power terminal block is connected to the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker is used as a safety device. The circuit breaker output is connected to the transformer. The transformer we used is a mutual inductance transformer. We used transformer here, to get an constant supply to smps. The smps received power from transformer, and it converts 230ac voltage into regulated 24v dc. The dc supply is again controlled by mcb and its given to all device which are used in this panel. The plc is powered on by smps output. The input to plc, received from operator panel and proximity sensors. All inputs are 24v only, and the inputs are given to plc through input terminal blocks. The output of the plc is afil and the pneumatic cylinder is controlled by solenoid coil.

The Project aims at an animated display of the Launch Vehicle Model during various Simulation Flight Runs. The Vehicle attitudes viz. angular displacements about the pitch, yaw and roll axes as well as Linear Displacements and Vehicle Commands will be used for achieving this. The Data acquired will be processed and transferred to the Document Class. A Timer will periodically update the Display Views. Three Views derived from CView are provided for Display. They are Grid Display, Graph Display and Animation Display. OpenGL API is used for realizing the PSLV Vehicle Model and for providing animations.

IDENTIFICATION OF NEED

Requirement Specification provides the developer and the customer with the means of access quality once the software is built. It is a software engineering task that bridges the gap between system level software allocation and software design. A requirement is a feature that must be included in the new system. It enables the System Engineer to specify the software functions and performance, indicates the software interface with other system elements and establish design constraints that the software must meet.

EXISTING SYSTEM

This system is used to monitor the launch of PSLV and to show the stage separation with the help of an animated model of rocket. It also shows graph and grid display to show the path of the rocket. In the existing system switching between the windows is done using command prompt which is difficult to handle.

The difficulties of the system are:

Not much user friendly

Difficult to control by giving command

Not better animation.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

In the proposed system the same functions as that of existing system are provided. Also provision for playback are provided using database. For implementing animation, OpenGL is used. The proposed system use Window to implement the above specified application. The use of Window makes the application user friendly and platform independent.
